Today, we will revisit Psalm 23:1  “The Lord is MY Shepherd”.

Listen to today’s devotion below.

Scripture References:

  • Psalm 23:1 - “The Lord is my Shepherd I shall not want.”

  • Matthew 7:11 -“If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him!”

  • 1 Peter 5:7 - “Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.”

Sisterfriend, let’s agree with God.

With the Scriptures shared and devotion on your heart, take a moment to sit with your Shepherd. Journal your thoughts about what you lack and how it’s been affecting your life. Use the following statements as prompts to get you started.

  • I think I lack:

  • I act like I lack:

  • I live as if I lack:

Now, take a moment and reflect on: Psalm 23:1 and 1 Peter 5:7.

What does God say about your lack?

Prayer: Lord, you are MY Good Shepherd and I am your Sheep.  You take pride in caring for me.  Your word says that I can cast all my cares, anxieties and fears on you. Today, I choose to do just that. I give you _(speak your cares, anxieties and fears here)_.  Bring me to that blessed place where I can declare, “The Lord is my shepherd I shall not be in want.” In Jesus Name.
